I've wanted to do a Rapidash study for a while now, and I've finally decided on a concept I like where the nose, mouth and forehead are charred from years of battling and using fire attacks. The horn tapers off into a shiny obsidian from tempering from lava and flames.

You should do more of the old Pokemon from the very begining! This one just looks amazing! I love seeing the Pokemon I grew up with grow up with me and turn into these lifelike pictures.

You really know how to put an interest level back in this decidedly simple pokémon design! I love the idea of giving this fire pokémon burning skin like a charred log of firewood, its eye blazing like an ember, and a glow emanating from this steed's nostrils like the inside of an oven as the horse no doubt prepares to give a steamy snort. The wrinkly blackness around this rapidash's eyes make it clear this creature's seen a long history of battles, and that is one intimidatingly long, pointed horn! And might I add I'm loving the blue flame at the base of its mane?
